The usual starting dose for adults is 5 mg three times a day, and the dose may be gradually increased up to a maximum of 80 mg per day.
BACLOFINE is generally considered safe and effective when used as directed, it may cause side effects such as drowsiness, dizziness, weakness, nausea, and headache. More serious side effects are rare but may include seizures, hallucinations, and confusion. BACLOFINE may also interact with other medications, so it is important to inform a healthcare provider of all medications being taken before starting BACLOFINE.
In some cases, sudden discontinuation of BACLOFINE can result in withdrawal symptoms, including seizures, hallucinations, and high fever. Therefore, it is important to gradually reduce the dose under the guidance of a healthcare provider if discontinuing BACLOFINE.
